A local subsidiary under the Sun group of companies based in the Maldives, the company was created in 2007, for the purpose of providing safe, professional and exciting water sports to the water sport enthusiasts around the world. The first Sun Water Sport Centre was opened on the 1st of February 2008 based at JA Manafaru.
A second water sport centre was opened in August 2008 at The sun Siyam Iru Fushi followed by the third on Vilureef Beach & Spa Resort in May 2010.
Our highly trained and friendly water sport team-members are pleased to offer a variety of motorized and non-motorized water sports.
Non-motorized activities include canoeing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing.

Sun Water Sport offers a range of activities tailor made to cater for the easy going, all the way through, to the thrill seeking adventurer. Our multi function luxury speed boat is available for unforgettable motorized water sport experiences such as water skiing, wakeboarding, and knee boarding and a variety of towable fun tubes. In addition, we organize excursion trips either by speedboat or catamaran which caters the needs of our customers.
The centre focuses on taking small groups when teaching sailing and surfing courses as well as wake board and water ski lessons to ensure a personalized approach and a quick learning process. Courses are available from beginners to advanced level.
